Guru Nanak Dev Ji emphasized on building an egalitarian society: CM Vishnudev Sai

Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today participated in the Prakash Parv organized on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti in the Khalsa School premises of the capital Raipur. Chief Minister Sai bowed his head in the Kirtan Darbar and wished for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of all the people of Chhattisgarh.

Wishing everyone on Prakash Parv, Chief Minister Sai said that today on this holy day I am feeling very happy to be among my brothers and sisters of the Sikh community. The life of Guru Nanak Dev Ji is not only inspiring for the Sikh community but his life is inspirational for all Indians. Social unity has been emphasized in the words of Guru Nanak Ji. He emphasized on the creation of an egalitarian society. The Sikh community has a huge contribution in the independence of the country. The history of the Sikh community is very glorious and rich. Dedication to religion and the spirit of service are the integral identity of the Sikh community. Chief Minister Sai said that when we look at the life of Guru Govind Singh Ji, we come to know that his sons Sahibzade Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji were under pressure to change religion. They accepted martyrdom but did not change their religion. Such has been the history of the Sikh community.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi decided to celebrate the martyrdom day of Sahibzadas on 26 December as Veer Bal Diwas and every year we celebrate this day with pride.
