Guidelines given to ashram-hostel superintendents in departmental meeting

Kawardha. Before the start of the academic session 2024-25, Collector Janmejay Mahobe held a meeting of the superintendents of ashram-hostels run by the Tribal Development Department and gave instructions to complete the preparations before the start of the academic session. The Collector gave instructions to complete the preparations by discussing all the issues including the preparations and security arrangements of the ashram-hostels.

Collector Mahobe discussed in the meeting about special cleanliness in hostels and ashrams, maintenance and repair of buildings, wall writing of important information on walls, admission proceedings in ashrams and hostels, basic facilities in girls hostels, online payment of scholarship, personality of superintendent of hostels. -Control over fourth class employees of the ashram, time table, superintendent and watchman residence, children’s home work, all-round development of hostel-ashram children, gardening, maintenance of records, distribution of scholarship and savings amount, health test, monitoring committee meeting. And formation, parent-child conference, informing higher officials,

Special monitoring of girls hostels and hostels, periodic inspection by departmental officers and sub-departmental officers, hostel and hostel inspection reports, establishment of ideal hostels and hostels, preparation of check list for upgradation of hostels and hostels, monitoring of vacant land of the building. Necessary directions were given for discussion and review on various issues including planting of vegetable and fruit plants by fencing, expulsion of students who have studied outside and from hostels, resolution of deficiencies found during inspection of hostels and hostels. Giving strict instructions to all the superintendents, the Collector said that before the start of the academic session, he himself will visit any ashram-hostel in the district to take stock of the preparations.

Besides, SDM and concerned Tehsildar will also inspect the preparations. All instructions should be followed in letter and spirit during inspection. Assistant Commissioner of Tribal Development Department Sushil Patel and all the superintendents and departmental employees were present in the meeting.
