Guard attacked, three criminals arrested in Bilaspur

Bilaspur. Tarbahar police have taken prompt action in connection with an assault incident near the Rajiv Plaza gate and arrested three accused. They have been booked under relevant sections and presented in court. According to police information, Amar Pal, a guard at Rajiv Plaza, was on duty on January 10, 2026. Around 10 p.m., he had gone to eat, leaving Saheb Singh to take over. Meanwhile, at around 10:20 p.m., an auto driver attempted to enter Rajiv Plaza’s Gate No. 1. When refused, the auto driver called his companions and assaulted the guard with punches and slaps. The accused also hurled obscene abuse and threatened to kill him.

Following a complaint, a crime was registered at Tarbahar police station and an investigation was initiated. Given the seriousness of the incident, immediate action was ordered on the instructions of Senior Superintendent of Police Rajneesh Singh. Under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Pankaj Kumar Patel and City Superintendent of Police, Civil Lines, Nimitesh Singh, a team was formed under the leadership of Station House Officer Inspector Ravindra Kumar Anant.

Based on CCTV footage installed around the crime scene, the police team identified the accused and arrested them. The arrested accused include Mohammad Shahrukh (32 years), resident of Khudiram Bose Chowk, Tarbahar Police Station, Riyaz Ahmed (27 years), resident of Rajkishore Nagar, Sarkanda Police Station, and Sagar Nayak (26 years), resident of Janji village, Sipat Police Station.
