Business Business: There was a strong increase in GST collection in the last month of last year i.e. 2019. December 2024. It was Rs 1.65 billion in the same month last year. GST revenue grew 8.5 per cent year-on-year to Rs 1,820 crore in November. The previous highest GST total was Rs 2,100 crore in April 2024. In December, the central GST collection was Rs 32,836 crore, state GST Rs 40,499 crore, integrated GST (IGST) Rs 47,783 crore and additional GST Rs 11,471 crore. GST on domestic transactions grew 8.4 per cent to Rs 1,320 crore in December, while import tax revenue grew by nearly 4 per cent to Rs 44,268 crore. Rs 22,490 crore was paid during the month. This amount increased by 31% compared to the same month last year. Adjusted for refunds, net GST revenue rose 3.3% to Rs 1,540 crore.
