Kawardha: Kabirdham District Panchayat CEO Sandeep Agarwal on Thursday reviewed the schemes being run by the central and state government. During this, gross negligence in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the district was exposed. After which the CEO reprimanded the officers and employees, and also gave instructions to stop their salary. 2499 houses of PM Awas are still incomplete: District Panchayat CEO Sandeep Agarwal said, “A total of 48657 Pradhan Mantri Awas were approved from the financial year 2016-17 to 2022-23. Which were to be completed by January 2024, but due to rain and negligence of some employees, 2499 houses are still incomplete till August 2024. Last year more than 5000 houses were completed but by the end of August only half of the houses have been built, while the third installment for all the houses has been released. The CEO warned the technical assistant to complete the work as soon as possible and not to commit such negligence in future.
