The Greenland Parliament has resolved that it will not surrender to the US government and will not meet with that country. All parties in the parliament took a decision to this effect on Friday. It is known that the US is trying to seize the Arctic island nation of Greenland. US President Trump also made a statement on this. Trump announced that they are considering the issue of acquiring Greenland, either through military action or by purchasing the country.
He said that he is ready to give Rs. 1,00,000 to each citizen if necessary. He said that he does not want his neighboring country to be China or Russia. Trump commented that he will do what he wants whether the people there like his action or not. However, NATO countries expressed their anger over Trump’s decision. They responded in support of Greenland’s sovereignty. At the same time, Greenland also responded. All the parties that met in the parliament passed a resolution against the US decision. The public representatives announced that they do not want to be Americans, but want to remain Greenlanders.
At the same time, they said they did not want to be under Danish control. “We do not want to be Americans or Danes. We want to be Greenlanders. The future of Greenland is determined by our citizens,” the parliament there passed a resolution. On the other hand, the United States has announced that it is ready to choose any path to take over Greenland.
