In a tweet, Modi said, “Congratulations to our exceptional athletes who represented India at the Special Olympics Summer Games in Berlin and won 202 medals including 76 gold medals. In their success, we celebrate the spirit of inclusivity and applaud the tenacity of these remarkable athletes.”
India ended its campaign at the Special Olympics World Games with 202 medals, including 76 gold, that concluded on June 26. India won 76 gold, 75 silver and 51 bronze medals in these games. The Indian contingent consisted of 198 players and unified partners who competed in 16 sports.
