Mann Ki Baat is not just a programme, but has become a powerful platform to inspire people, to bring to the fore inspiring stories among us and to transform the ideas needed to build a new India into a mass movement. During this, PM Modi said that in a way, every episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ prepares the ground for the next episode. ‘Mann Ki Baat’ has always moved forward with a sense of goodwill, service and duty.
Prime Minister Modi said that this program never let me go away from you people. When I was CM, I used to meet people there, but when I came to Delhi in 2014, I found that life here is very different. Responsibilities different, frills of security, time limit, something felt different in the initial days. 50 years ago, I did not leave my home because one day it would be difficult to contact people of my own country. The countrymen who are my everything, I could not live by cutting them off. ‘Mann Ki Baat’ gave me a solution to this challenge, a way to connect with the common man. The office and protocol remained limited to the system and public sentiment, along with crores of people, my sentiments, became an inseparable part of the world.
