Government made a big announcement for Vinesh Phogat

Haryana: Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat has announced her retirement from wrestling after being disqualified before the finals at the Paris Olympics. Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has announced that the government will welcome and congratulate Vinesh Phogat like a medalist.

The Chief Minister said that all the respect, rewards and facilities that the Haryana government gives to the silver medalist in the Olympics will be gratefully given to Vinesh Phogat as well. CM Saini said through the social media platform X, “Our brave daughter of Haryana, Vinesh Phogat, performed brilliantly and entered the finals of the Olympics. For whatever reason, she may not have been able to play the final of the Olympics, but she is a champion for all of us.” Earlier, Vinesh Phogat had announced her retirement from wrestling and said, “Maa, wrestling won over me, I lost. Forgive me, your dream, my courage, all are broken, I do not have any more strength now. Goodbye wrestling 2001-2024. I will always be indebted to all of you.”

Let us tell you that before the final in the women’s 50 kg event, Vinesh Phogat was disqualified from the Olympics due to being overweight, after which she appealed to the Court of Abbreviation for Sport (CAS). Earlier she had asked to play the final match, but in the letter written later, she has demanded a silver medal for this event.
