Google is releasing new indicator in Maps

San Francisco (IANS) | Tech giant Google is rolling out a new indicator in its mapping platform ‘Google Maps’ that will help users avoid losing their PIN. As AndroidPolice reports, with the new indicator, when users manually insert a pin into Maps by tapping a location or when they find a location via Maps search, they can now find nearby addresses without losing their pin. If the user pans or rotates the map, a pointer will continue to point in the original direction as the pin’s original location after the pin has moved off the screen.

Also, if the user taps the indicator, it will automatically re-focus on the pin.

Meanwhile, last week, the tech giant was releasing the ‘immersive view’ feature in Maps more widely.

Google Maps Immersive View adds scenic views of a city and its landmarks, along with suggestions of places to visit or see, as well as interior views of certain buildings.
