North Goa: Calangute police on Friday took into custody Suchana Seth, the chief executive officer (CEO) of a start-up company in Bengaluru, who has been arrested for the murder of four of her colleagues. A one-year-old son went into the service apartment of a hotel in Goa to “recreate the crime scene”. The accused has been identified as Suchana Seth, who was earlier arrested for the murder of her four-year-old son in a hotel in Goa. Meanwhile, Goa DGP Jaspal Singh earlier told ANI that the accused is not cooperating in the investigation process. “These are early days of the investigation,” he said.
So far, what the investigators have told us is that the accused is not cooperating in the investigation. We will confront the accused with the evidence found.” DGP Singh said that he has 90 days to file the chargesheet. “We have 90 days to file the chargesheet. We have collected all the evidence. Preliminary investigation is underway. We will appreciate and examine the evidence to determine the motive for the crime. We will take this incident to its logical end.” ,” he told ANI.
Regular medical examination of the accused was also conducted under police supervision. Police said that the accused woman was caught in Karnataka’s Chitradurga district when she was trying to escape in a cab by carrying her son’s body in a bag. “A woman asked the hotel staff to arrange a taxi to Bengaluru. After checkout, when hotel staff went to clean the room, they found red stains which they thought were blood. The employees immediately informed the police.” Nidhin Valsan, Superintendent of Police, North Goa. Police further said that when interrogated, the woman told the officers that she had dropped her son at a friend’s house in Goa. “Police reached the hotel and tried to contact the woman through the driver. Police inquired about the woman’s son, and she said the child was staying at a friend’s house. However, the police found the address given by the woman. Be fake,” said the police officer. “Accordingly, the driver was asked to take the car to the police station and upon checking the luggage, the police found the body of the boy,” the Superintendent of Police said. According to the police, an FIR has been registered in the case and the Goa Court has sent the accused to police custody for six days.
