Cash-strapped airline Go First said on Friday that it has canceled all its flights till May 12. The Wadia Group-owned carrier has filed a petition for voluntary insolvency resolution proceedings before the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) and the tribunal on Thursday reserved its order.
“Due to operational reasons the GoFirst flights scheduled till 12th May 2023 have been cancelled,” the airline said in a tweet. It added that a full refund will be issued to the original mode of payment soon.
Initially, the airline canceled all flights for three days starting May 3 and later extended it till May 9. Now the flights have been canceled till May 12. On Thursday, aviation regulator DGCA said the airline has suspended ticket sales till May 15. The watchdog has also directed the airline to process refunds to passengers as per the timelines specifically prescribed in the relevant regulations.
