Bengaluru (IANS) | Former minister and senior Dalit leader of Congress H.C. Mahadevappa said on Wednesday that he was happy that Siddaramaiah was going to become the chief minister. Mahadevappa, a close aide of Siddaramaiah, said there was no proposal to share power. The proposal for two and three year terms for Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar was just a rumour.
He said that there are many contenders for the post of Chief Minister, but only one can be made the Chief Minister. The high command has taken this decision after analyzing everything.
He said that Siddaramaiah has been selected after a thorough analysis of the current political scenario. Shivkumar’s aspiration to become the Chief Minister is not wrong. Siddaramaiah’s clean image helped people trust the Congress party.
