Maharashtra: The wind of assembly elections is blowing in the state at this time and even though the election schedule has not been announced, the work of seat allocation is going on in full swing. The only eye in the state is on how many and where the allies in the Mahayuti and Mahavikas Aghadi will get seats. Meanwhile, the state’s Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar is likely to get a chance from Shirur, not Baramati this year.
Ajit Pawar had indicated in Thursday’s meeting that he will not contest from the Baramati assembly seat. After that there is a discussion among the workers about which constituency Dada will contest from. Party sources said that he has started testing to contest from Shirur constituency. Meanwhile, the Aarey to BKC phase of the Colaba-Bandra-Seepz Metro 3 route was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday. This phase is open for commuters from today.
