Gauthampur Substation Turns into Snake Habitat, Employees Concerned

Rudrampur, April 25: Employees of the substation in Gauthampur under the Singareni Kothagudem area are expressing their concern that it has become a snake habitat. The employees are performing their duties amidst fear as poisonous snakes often come out of the bushes next to the substation. They said that in some cases, snakes have also been found in the tiffin boxes brought by the employees. They are expressing extreme fear as it is not clear when and where the snakes come from. They also said that snakes are also establishing habitats in the missionary sections of the substation.

Despite the recent Safety Week celebrations, the workers are criticizing that no adequate measures have been taken for the safety of the workers here. They are demanding that the authorities respond and take steps to remove the weeds that have grown in the vicinity of the substation and prevent water from accumulating. They believe that this will reduce the swampy environment and reduce the number of snakes.
