Raipur. Railway Protection Force has arrested an accused with 6 kg of ganja at Bilaspur station. The value of the seized ganja is said to be Rs 1,20,000. The accused was handed over to GRP police station Bilaspur.
In view of the Lok Sabha elections, during the pre-election seizure checking and operation Narcos, during night checking on March 3, Inspector Karmapal Singh Gurjar, in-charge of Crime Intelligence Branch, Detective Wing Bilaspur, arrested Deputy Inspector AK Bind, Deputy Inspector SK Minj, Sauni SB Dwivedi, On the information of informer along with Prof. Ramesh Patel, Alok Kumar, Niraj Kumar, Baleshwar Sahu Wald Firtu Ram Sahu, age 45 years, resident of Kirari, was caught with 3 packets of ganja near the Howrah end toilet of Railway Station Bilaspur Platform No. 01.
On enquiry, he told that he had brought the said ganja from Jharsuguda (Orissa) to Bilaspur. On the spot, a bag was seized from the possession of the said accused, which contained 6 kg of ganja. The accused was arrested and proper paperwork was done. The accused was handed over to the station in-charge GRP, Bilaspur, where a case was registered against the accused, he was presented in the court and sent to jail.
