Ganja recovered in bag, smuggler out to supply arrested

Raipur. Accused Sanjay Dhiwar has been arrested with 6 kg ganja. The team of Anti Crime and Cyber Unit had received information that a person was keeping illegal narcotic ganja with him on the side of Ashok Nagar Road under Gudhiyari police station area and was looking for a customer for sale. On which Additional Superintendent of Police City Lakhan Patle, Additional Superintendent of Police Crime Pitamber Singh Patel, City Superintendent of Police Urla Avinash Mishra and Deputy Superintendent of Police Crime Dinesh Sinha, after verifying the information, in-charge Anti Crime and Cyber Unit and police station in-charge Gudhiyari were directed to catch the accused red handed with ganja.

On which, under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Gudhiyari police station went to the said place and identified and arrested a person of the description described by the informer. During interrogation, the person revealed his name to be Sanjay Dhiwar alias Langda resident of Gogaon Gudhiyari Raipur. When the team members searched the bag kept with him, it was found to contain ganja. On which the team members arrested the accused and seized 06 kg ganja Jumla worth approximately Rs 30,000/- from his possession and action was taken against the accused by registering crime number 09/2024 under Section 20B Narcotic Act in Police Station Gudhiyari.
