UTTAR-PRADESH: A unique case related to wildlife conservation has come to light from Maharajganj district. While fishing here, a dolphin got entangled in the fishermen’s net. After receiving information about the incident, the Forest Department was informed. Now the team is preparing to reach Rapti river and rescue the dolphin safely.
As soon as the news of the dolphin getting trapped in the net spread, a crowd of local people gathered at the spot. The Forest Department has appealed to the people not to harm the dolphins and cooperate with the rescue team.
Dolphin caught in net while fishing
According to the information, some fishermen had gone fishing in Rapti river. During this time his net suddenly became heavy. When the net was taken out, a dolphin was found trapped in it.
Seeing the dolphin, the fishermen immediately informed the local people and the forest department. After this the Forest Department team became active and started preparations to take stock of the situation at the spot.
