Friends kidnap friend, 6 kidnappers arrested

Balod. The brother who had gone to his sister’s engagement was kidnapped in a planned manner to get back the money from the old transaction. After which, with the help of cyber cell, the police arrested 6 accused including the kidnapped youth within just 24 hours. According to the information, Santosh Dehari, resident of Nakpur, his wife Pinky Dehari, son Nikhil Dehari along with his family members and their friends had come to Khairidihi for the engagement of his daughter Nidhi Dehari. Where after the engagement was over, 25-year-old Nikhil Dehari reached near Khairidihi bridge to board his guests in the bus. While returning from there, some youths traveling in a Bolero car forcefully made Nikhil sit in the car and left from there. As soon as the information was received, Nikhil’s father Santosh followed him in the Bolero car and went to Acholi village.

But he could not be found. After which the matter was informed to the police. After the complaint, the police registered a case under sections 34 and 365 and started searching for the kidnappers. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, Superintendent of Police Surjan Ram Bhagat formed different teams and started searching for the kidnapped youth. Through cyber cell and other means, the police got information from Nikhil Dehari’s Ashoka College which was in ruins in Rajnandgaon. After which the police reached the spot and recovered Nikhil safely from Prashant Kharanshu and Durgesh Yadav. During interrogation, both the kidnappers told that they had to take money from Nikhil for old transactions. Due to which he was not giving it, he got angry and along with his friends in a rented Bolero, kidnapped him from Khairidih, kept him hidden in a rented lodge room overnight and took him to the ruined Ashoka College on Thursday morning. Whom the police surrounded and caught. Police have arrested six accused in the case and sent them on judicial remand.
