Bhilai. The Durg police has arrested the accused from Bilaspur yesterday for distributing fake joining letters pretending to be ministry employees and giving them government jobs. According to the complaint, the accused Nayan Chatterjee used to present himself as an employee of the Ministry to make the victims believe and also gave them fake appointment letters. Supela TI Durgesh Sharma said that the accused had duped Bhupesh Deshmukh resident Ashish Nagar Risali and his friend Jagdeep Sahu of lakhs of rupees on the pretext of getting a junior engineer job in NMDC Nagarnar Bacheli. During the conversation, he told the victims that he was an employee of the ministry, so the victims believed him. Accused Nayan absconded from his house as soon as he came to know about the registration of crime against him in the year 2019. Since then till now the police tried several times to arrest him, but he kept on absconding. Yesterday police got information from informer and Supela police succeeded in arresting. The accused was living in hiding at Mopka Sarkanda, Bilaspur after the crime was registered. As soon as the information was received, the Supela police rushed to Bilaspur and laid siege and arrested him. During interrogation, it was told that there also he had taken lakhs of rupees from many other people in the name of getting them jobs. In the inquiry, more cases have been revealed, the investigation of which is going on.
