New Delhi (IANS) | Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s party JDU’s former national president RCP Singh joined the BJP on Thursday.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan gave him BJP membership at the BJP National Headquarters. During this, BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh, BJP’s National Media Incharge Anil Baluni and National Co-Media Incharge Sanjay Mayukh were also present.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, while welcoming former JDU leader and former Union Minister RCP Singh to the party, said that under the leadership of late Atal Bihari Vajpayee and George Fanardis, freed Bihar from Jungle Raj and established rule of law, development of the state and An alliance was made to provide security to all, which was run by the BJP for a long time, but when Nitish Kumar decided to leave for his own interest, RCP Singh tried to convince him while still in JDU. He said that with the arrival of Singh, the BJP will be stronger in Bihar.
After joining the BJP, RCP Singh lashed out at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, holding him responsible for the situation in Bihar and also took a dig at the opposition unity campaign being run by him in view of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He said that Nitish Kumar think where has the country gone today and where is Bihar standing? India has become the fifth largest economy country in the world. Nitish Kumar has been roaming in other states leaving Bihar for the last three days, campaigning for opposition unity, but tell who is the leader of the opposition alliance? Taking a dig at Nitish Kumar’s desire to become the PM, Singh also said that Nitish Kumar was, is and will remain the PM. Nitish Kumar, who fought against RJD, is now talking about staying with the same RJD for life.

At the time of the BJP-JDU alliance, RCP Singh also became a minister at the Center from JDU’s quota, but later his relations with Nitish Kumar soured. Due to Nitish not sending him to Rajya Sabha, he had to resign from the Modi cabinet and also had to leave JDU.
