Nagarkurnool: Former Nagarkurnool Single Window Chairman Srinivas Reddy (60) of Wanapatla village in the mandal committed suicide. On Wednesday, when his wife and family members were not at home, he committed suicide by hanging himself at his gravel crusher. His wife, who came home in the afternoon, noticed him and took him to Gayatri Hospital in Kolhapur Crossroads, where doctors said he was already dead.
Later, the body was shifted to Nagarkurnool Government Hospital. Srinivas Reddy had previously served as the Nagarkurnool Vice MPP. He took charge as the single window during the BRS government and later continued in the Congress party until the end of his term. The reasons for his suicide are not yet known.
