Former MP Jayaprada gets big relief from court, acquitted in code of conduct violation case

Rampur: Former MP and famous film actress Jayaprada got a big relief from the court on Thursday. The court acquitted Jayaprada in the code of conduct violation case due to lack of evidence. Jayaprada reached the court with her advocate on Thursday. The court, while giving its verdict in this case, acquitted the former MP due to lack of evidence. Jayaprada’s advocate strongly presented her side in the entire case.

MP-MLA Special Court (Magistrate Trial) Judge Shobhit Bansal pronounced the verdict. The court acquitted Jayaprada as the charges were not proved by the prosecution. Talking to the media outside the court, Jayaprada said that she is happy and emotional with the court’s decision. Truth always wins. Many thanks to the court. Two cases of violation of code of conduct were registered against Jayaprada during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. One of these cases is of Kemri police station, which was registered by Kuldeep Bhatnagar, in-charge of the video surveillance team. It was said that on April 18, 2019, BJP candidate Jayaprada held a public meeting in Pipaliya Mishra village. Jayaprada had given a statement about BSP supremo Mayawati and Azam Khan.

In one case, the former MP’s statement was to be recorded after the prosecution’s testimony was completed. While, the testimony was going on in the second case. But, the former MP was not appearing in court. Due to this, the court issued non-bailable warrants against the former MP several times. On February 7, the court expressed displeasure and declared the former MP absconding and ordered the police to arrest him and present him in court. Also, a team was asked to be formed under the leadership of the CO. During the hearing on Thursday in a code of conduct case, the court acquitted former MP Jayaprada.
