Belagavi (IANS) | Senior Congress leader and former state minister D.B. Inamdar died on Tuesday at a private hospital in Bengaluru. He was 74 years old. Danappagouda Basanagouda Inamdar was suffering from many ailments. He was admitted to the hospital following lung and liver ailments.
He represented the Kittur assembly constituency several times and also served as a minister in the Congress government.
Inamdar was a ticket contender from Kittur seat for the upcoming assembly elections. However, the party denied him the ticket at the last moment.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has condoled the death. May God give strength to his supporters and family to bear the pain of his bereavement, he said.
