Jashpur. After the case of smuggling of precious wood comes to light in different ranges of Jashpur forest division, minor action is taken and it is abandoned. This is the reason why today the forest staff has seized 63 pieces of illegal wood chiran in Pathalgaon area.
According to the information, the smuggler caught by Pathalgaon forest staff is posted on the post of DFO in the department. The estimated value of the wood seized from his possession has been estimated at Rs 1 lakh. Action is being taken against the accused under Section 26 of the Indian Forest Act 1927 and Chiran Act.
