Ford and Hyundai report US market sales growth in May

Business Business: Ford Motor and Hyundai Motor have announced an increase in their sales in the US market in the month of May. Both companies said that due to concerns about Donald Trump’s tariff policies, customers became active to buy early, which increased the sales of cars and SUVs.

Ford sold a total of 220,959 units in May, up from 190,014 units last year. Sales of its F-Series trucks increased by 15% to 79,817 units. The company offered discounts to its customers in April, which led to an increase in sales. However, prices of some products manufactured in Mexico were increased in May.

At the same time, Hyundai also sold 84,521 units in May, up 8%. This increase in sales of both these companies is happening at a time when the market is facing uncertainty and high supply costs due to tariff policies.
