Follow These Tips To Keep Wheat Flour Fresh For Many Days

Wheat flour is one of the things that we have in our kitchen. We use it to make various dishes like roti, paratha, sweets. Many people store this wheat flour in large quantities. However, due to improper storage, wheat flour gets infected with worms and lumps. We cannot make rotis with worm-infected flour. It is also not suitable for use. Due to improper storage of flour, differences in temperature and changes in humidity create a favorable environment for the growth of insects. Therefore, it is very important to store wheat flour properly. By using some tips, wheat flour can be stored for a long time without spoiling.

Should be put in the fridge..

Wheat flour stays fresh for a long time by storing it in the fridge. Store it in a glass jar or an airtight plastic container, cover it and store it in the fridge. It is important to make sure that the lid is tight so that moisture does not get inside. Doing this will keep the flour fresh for a long time. Flour spoils quickly due to moisture. Therefore, flour should be stored in a steel container. Before storing it in a steel container, make sure that there is no moisture in it. Drying the container in the sun will make it dry without moisture. Also, add 4 or 5 teaspoons of salt to the flour and store it. Doing this will prevent insects from entering the flour.

If you add salt..

Fill a steel container with half the flour and add 2 or 3 teaspoons of salt to it. Then add the remaining flour and add 1 or 2 teaspoons of salt to it and store it. By doing this, the flour will stay fresh for a longer time without getting damaged by insects. You can also store it by adding bagara leaves to the flour instead of salt. The smell of bagara leaves helps in preventing the flour from getting damaged by insects. It is very important to check the date of manufacture before buying flour. It is better not to buy flour that has been made more than a month ago. Buying and storing flour with a manufacturing date less than a month will keep the flour fresh for a longer time. By following these tips, we can store wheat flour so that it does not spoil and remains fresh for a long time.
