Andhra Pradesh: Rajamahendravaram Rural, Aug 8: Crops submerged due to heavy rains. About 350 acres of paddy crop of farmers of Rajavolu village in Kadiyam Awa area has been submerged. Sewage of Bommur, Namvaram Hukumpet, Old Bommur etc passes through Rajavolu through sewer in Kadiyam Awa area. Many farmers of Kadiyam mandal are expressing their anguish that paddy crop in Rajavolu village has been submerged as some people of Kadiyam mandal have stopped the sewage from going into the dam. Farmers said that they filed an application in Jan Nivaran Manch held at Collectorate on Monday on the same issue. Complain to irrigation officials about this, they say that they have nothing to do with the sewage canal. Higher officials are requested to respond and take appropriate measures to save their crop from the clutches of floods.
