Five killed, 10 injured in Russian attacks against Ukraine

Kiev : Five people have been killed and 10 others injured in Russian attacks against Ukraine. Regional officials gave this information early Monday morning. Civilian casualties have been reported in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kherson and Sumy regions, The Kyiv Independent reports.

A couple died in Russian bombing of the village of Yunakivka, just 10 km from the Russian border in Sumy Oblast. The Sumy Oblast military administration reported that one house was destroyed and five others were damaged in the attack.

Nikopol in Dnepropetrovsk Oblast was hit by multiple attacks on Sunday morning. A man was killed when a Russian drone dropped explosives directly on his truck. The Kiev Independent reports that the truck driver was 57 years old. Later Sunday evening, four people were wounded when Russian forces targeted the regional center of Dnipro, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Governor Serhiy Lysak said. He said that two men aged 41 and 49 and two women aged 20 and 60 were admitted to the hospital. 10 houses and several cars were also damaged in the attack.

Kherson Oblast Governor Oleksandr Prokudin said Russian attacks on Sunday killed two people and wounded one, The Kyiv Independent reported. When Russian forces attacked the village of Tiahinka, a 44-year-old man and a 62-year-old woman were killed. Donetsk Oblast Governor Vadim Fylashkin said five people were injured in Kostiantynivka, Kurakhov, Zakitne, Maksymilianivka and Chasiv Yar. Russia also launched attacks in the Kharkiv, Zaporizhia and Mykolaiv regions, but no civilian casualties were reported.
