Hyderabad: The first meeting of the state cabinet will be held on Wednesday at the newly constructed BR Ambedkar Secretariat building. According to sources, the cabinet will review the progress of implementation of various schemes like Griha Lakshmi. It will also finalize the rules and regulations for the housing scheme where the government proposes to provide an assistance of Rs 3 lakh to the poor who own land.
The cabinet will also discuss the arrangements for the grand event of the 21-day Foundation Day celebrations from June 2. After the official agenda is over, it will also take stock of the political situation in the state and the results of the recent Karnataka elections. The discussion on the election will take place ahead of the BRS Parliamentary Party and Legislature Party meeting on Wednesday afternoon.
Other issues that will be discussed include regularization of contract workers, release of Dalit Bandhu benefits to beneficiaries, rift in relations between the government and the governor and recently returned bills, sheep distribution program etc.
Ministers may be instructed to monitor ongoing schemes and ensure that all pending works are completed in their respective districts.
He will also be asked to run a massive campaign in every village of every assembly constituency to convince people about the development work done by the government.
KCR feels that to counter the opposition’s attack on the government and the possibility of Congress and BJP going on the offensive to create awareness about the schemes being implemented by the government and those launched for the benefit of different sections should be published. Due in about six months’ time.
