Kishanganj: A major accident has been averted in Bihar. Just a day ago, a goods train split into two parts in Gaya, now a train engine suddenly caught fire in Kishanganj district. After the fire, there was a state of panic among the passengers aboard the train. It is being told that the engine of the Radhikapur Siliguri DEMU passenger train suddenly caught fire near Tegharia railway gate adjacent to Kishanganj railway station at around 12:30 pm on Sunday. This fire broke out in the front part of the engine.
The reason for the fire has not been ascertained. The train left Kishanganj railway station at around 12:10 pm. As soon as the train reached near Tegharia railway gate, smoke started coming out from the front part of the engine. The train was full of passengers. Seeing smoke coming out from the upper part of the engine, the driver of the train suddenly applied the brakes. After this, the railway officials were informed. After the train stopped, the passengers also got down from the train, then they also got the information. Railway officials reached the spot from the station. SSB officials also reached the spot. Fire brigade team also reached the spot.
Let us tell you that before this, coal loaded goods train suddenly split into two parts at Paharpur railway station of Gaya-Koderma railway section. The goods train split into two parts due to breaking of the caplin connecting the bogies. After the goods train split into two parts, its front part moved a little ahead. While the rear part remained stuck at Paharpur station. This incident happened on Saturday morning on the up line. It is told that a goods train named TD was going from Koderma to Gaya.
When the goods train was passing through Paharpur railway station at 8:55 in the morning. At the same time, the caplin connecting the bogies suddenly broke and the goods train split into two parts between the 16th and 17th bogies from the engine. After the goods train split, its front part including the engine moved a little ahead, then the driver realized. He immediately stopped the train. While the rear part of the detached goods train stopped at Paharpur station itself.
