Fire in scrap warehouse, fire brigade brought it under control after four hours

Ghaziabad: A massive fire broke out in a scrap warehouse in Nandgram police station area of Ghaziabad late on Monday night. Six fire brigade vehicles brought the fire under control after four hours of hard work. According to the information received from the Fire Department Ghaziabad, at around 1:23 pm on Monday night, information was received about a fire in a warehouse near Ret Mandi in Nandgram police station area of Kotwali Fire Station, Police Commissionerate Ghaziabad. As soon as the information was received, four fire tenders and fire service units immediately left for the spot from Kotwali fire station.
On the spot, it was seen that the fire broke out in a scrap warehouse built in an area of about 5000 square meters inside the boundary wall of a tin shed in the protected area below the high tension line near Baba International School. The fire service unit immediately started extinguishing the fire. Seeing the enormity of the fire, two fire tenders and fire service units from Vaishali fire station also reached the spot. The fire was brought under control by around five in the morning. After this the cooling work was started. No person was harmed in this accident. Due to prompt action of Fire Service Ghaziabad, major damage in the surrounding area was avoided.
