Fire breaks out in chemical plant, 3 people injured

Houston: A fire broke out in a chemical plant near Houston in the American state of Texas. Three contractors were injured in the fire. Kinder Morgan officials said the fire broke out during planned maintenance work near a rail rack at its petroleum facility in Galena Park, Xinhua news agency reported. However, the fire was immediately extinguished.
Those injured in the fire were contractors, ABC13 News reports. The affected section of the rail rack has been isolated and closed, officials said. The exact cause of the fire is unclear.
Officials said flash fires often occur when a flammable chemical mixes with air and hits a heat source.
