Fire breaks out at Telangana Formation Day celebrations, no casualties

Hyderabad (IANS) | A tent caught fire due to bursting of firecrackers during Telangana Formation Day celebrations in Nizamabad district. The officers provided this information. The incident took place on Wednesday evening when Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) workers burst crackers to welcome state Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy at Puranipet village.

Reddy had come to attend a program organized near a lake in the village.

Cultural programs are being organized near water bodies across the state as part of the Foundation Day celebrations.

According to eyewitnesses, a cracker fell on the tent, which started the fire.

The tent was completely gutted.

Three people were killed in a similar incident on April 12 in Khammam district.
