Supporters of the winning candidate Sumit Sahu have been accused of assaulting election rival Sunil Sahu and his 18-year-old daughter. The incident is from Ramanujnagar police station area, where on the complaint of the victim side, the police have registered an FIR against Sumit Sahu, Sagar Sahu, Brijbhushan Sahu, Nirmala Sahu and others.
According to the information, after registering victory in the district election, Sumit Sahu was taking out a victory procession with his supporters. During this, a dispute broke out between his supporters and the losing candidate Sunil Sahu. It is alleged that the matter escalated so much that Sumit Sahu’s supporters beat up Sunil Sahu and his daughter. Sunil Sahu has suffered serious injuries in this attack.
