Finance Minister OP Choudhary distributed helmets

Raigarh: Under the special campaign being run by the district police regarding traffic awareness, the police is distributing helmets to drivers without helmets by taking challan action under the Motor Vehicle Act. State Finance Minister OP Choudhary attended the helmet distribution program organized at Chhatamuda Chowk today. Collector Kartikeya Goyal and Superintendent of Police Divyang Kumar Patel were also present in the program.

chhattisgarh news Addressing the program, Finance Minister OP Choudhary said that we all know the importance of using helmets while driving two-wheelers on the road. Driving without a helmet is a major reason for people losing their lives in road accidents. But most people ignore it. One should give up the tendency of not understanding the seriousness of the matter until a calamity befalls oneself. The entire family is badly affected by the untimely death of anyone in the family. He appealed to everyone to understand their safety and their responsibility towards their family, society and country, and definitely wear a helmet while driving. Do follow the traffic rules. He said that this campaign of distributing 5 thousand helmets by Raigarh Police under the leadership of Superintendent of Police Divyang Kumar Patel is giving an important message of road safety in the society. We need to promote the use of helmets by everyone by considering it a social responsibility.

Regarding the special campaign being run by the district police, Superintendent of Police Mr. Divyang Kumar Patel said that most of the deaths in road accidents have happened due to the two-wheeler driver not wearing a helmet. The district police is distributing helmets by taking challan action as per the rules to reduce the death rate in road accidents and to make people aware of helmets, the target of the district police is to distribute helmets to more than 5 thousand people. The cooperation of industries and social organizations of the district is being received in this work.

Finance Minister OP Choudhary distributed helmets to media representatives along with two-wheeler drivers who were riding without helmets. During this, everyone was appealed to wear helmets for safe traffic.
