Raipur: 10 February 2024/ Finance and Commercial Tax Minister and Minister in-charge of Janjgir-Champa district, Shri OP Chaudhary today inaugurated the three-day Jajwalyadev Lok Mahotsav and Agritech Agricultural Fair 2024 organized in Janjgir. On this occasion, Minister Shri Chaudhary distributed checks amounting to more than Rs 4 crore 10 lakh to 2734 beneficiaries under various schemes of the government. During this time, he also flagged off the Poshan Rath organized by the Health Department to give awareness message about TB. In the program, an MoU was also signed with UNICEF and Vinoba Foundation to promote educational activities in the district. Minister Shri Chaudhary released the 2024 edition of Jajvalya magazine.
During the program, the Finance Minister honored the ex-servicemen who provided free training in Sainik Agniveer recruitment from the main stage. Due to the efforts of these soldiers, 220 candidates have been selected. District Panchayat was also honored for the better work of ODF Plus. On this occasion, Janjgir MLA Mr. Vyas Kashyap, Pamgarh MLA Mrs. Sheshraj Harbansh, former MP Mrs. Kamala Devi Patle, former MLA Mr. Narayan Chandel, former MLA Mr. Saurabh Singh, former MLA Mr. Ambesh Jangde, District Panchayat President Mrs. Yanita Yashwant Chandra, District Panchayat Vice President Mr. Raghavendra Pratap Singh, Mr. Gulab Chandel, Mr. Gagan Jaipuria, Mrs. Vidya Sidar, Mr. Amar Sultania, Mr. Sumit Pratap Singh, Mrs. Preeti Devi, Mr. Prashant Singh, Mr. Ashutosh Goswami, Mr. Shekhar Chandel, Prashant Singh and Collector Mr. Akash Chhikara. Other public representatives, officers-employees and a large number of citizens were present.
Addressing the inauguration program, Chief Guest Shri OP Choudhary said that Jajwalyadev Folk Festival and Agritech Agricultural Fair is a prestigious event of Janjgir-Champa district. This festival is the identity of our culture and Janjgir. We are working as a Vision Chhattisgarh under Modi’s guarantee to realize the concept of developed India. In our short-term government of eight weeks, we have done positive work for everyone, from farmers to youth. On the occasion of Good Governance Day on 25th December, we had distributed bosan worth more than Rs 3700 crore to more than 12 lakh farmers of the state. In the first cabinet, we have made efforts to provide shelter to the poor by approving 18 lakh houses. For this, we have made a provision of Rs 3800 crore in the supplementary budget and Rs 7000 crore in tomorrow’s budget. 10 thousand crores for Krishi Unnati Yojana, to provide clean water to every household, we have made a provision of Rs. 4500 crores for Jal Jeevan Mission and Rs. 3 thousand crores for Mahtari Vandan. To provide a better future and direction to the youth, a target has been set to create digital libraries in 22 places of the state on the lines of Nalanda in Raipur. Out of which we will definitely build a better library in Janjgir-Champa also. Along with this, local MLAs and public representatives put forward various demands. On which Shri OP Chaudhary gave full assurance and assured to fulfill all the demands within 5 years. It was announced to give Rs 25,000 to the youth who performed at Malkhamb. Former MLA Shri Narayan Chandel also addressed the program.
