Films with good content can draw audiences to theatres: Rani Mukerji

Mumbai| Actress Rani Mukherjee is happy with the response her recently released film ‘Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway’ has received. He believes that in the post-pandemic world, films with good content can draw audiences to theatres, provided it engages them and offers something new.

Rani Mukerji states that her recent release is a prime example of this.

The actress said, “I am glad that ‘Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway’ is showing us that a content film can be a theatrical film in the post-pandemic world. I think as an industry we just need to make films that touch people’s hearts and not focus on which genre will work on the big screen and which won’t. If we make a good film, there will be a lot of audience who will come for a unique experience on the big screen.

He added: As a society, we want to celebrate and experience things together. So, I have never believed that people are turning away from theaters after the pandemic. People only want to see new content that is engaging enough for them to go out and invest their time and money.

Overwhelmed with the response the film is receiving, Rani shares that a good film will always appeal to a mass audience.

She added, “I am really happy to see the audience response as they are showering immense amount of love to the film and I cannot thank them enough. I have always believed that a good film always resonates with people and they will come to the theaters to have a new experience.

‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’, also starring Anirban Bhattacharya and Jim Sarbh, is running in theatres.
