File a complaint for charging more than the prescribed amount

In view of frequent complaints being received by the Aadhaar centers and e-Mitra operators operating in the district, collecting more amount from the general public than the fees prescribed by the government, and for being irregular, the Department of Information Technology and Communication, Jaisalmer, from time to time, such Aadhaar centers and e-Mitra Action is being taken against the friendly operators.
Joint Director Ashok Kumar Aseri has appealed to the general public that before availing the service at any Aadhaar Enrollment Center or E-Mitra Center, they should thoroughly observe the rate-list fixed by the government at the center. The Joint Director said that the new Aadhaar enrollment is completely free of cost. For any kind of amendment in old Aadhaar, the fee fixed by the government is fifty rupees and for amendment in biometric, it is hundred rupees. Similarly, the rates of different types of E-Mitra services are also pre-determined by the government, the list of which is mandatory to be pasted at the E-Mitra center. He also expected the general public to obtain the receipt and seal from the E-Mitra operator himself and if any Aadhaar center or E-Mitra operator demands an amount more than the fee prescribed by the government, then its complaint should be lodged with the Department of Information Technology and Communications.
