Fight between two parties during wedding ceremony, groom walks away in anger

Amroha: A ruckus broke out during a wedding ceremony in Amroha, UP. Actually, during the baraat chadhat, two parties got into a fight. Meanwhile, the groom got down from the carriage and fled on a bike. After which, after a lot of persuasion from the bride’s side, he returned to his in-laws’ house and took rounds with the bride at midnight. Then the bride and groom left for home.

This incident is from a village in the Kotwali area. Where the baraat had come from Gajraula police station area. The bride’s side welcomed the groom’s side. The food program started. During this, a relative of the bride had an altercation with an old man in the baraat over falling of a leaf plate. Somehow the matter was settled and the baraat started. During this, the youth of the village beat up a youth in the baraat over dancing on the DJ. Many other youths who ran to save him were also beaten up. It is being told that when the groom expressed his displeasure, the youths climbed on the carriage and beat him too.

At this, the groom jumped off the carriage and fled on the bike of one of his companions. After the fight, most of the baraatis also left from there. However, the groom’s father and many of his close relatives had reached the village head’s place. On receiving the information, Sub Inspector Pravendra Kumar also reached the spot with the police team. On the other hand, a panchayat started between the bride and the groom’s side. The groom was called after talking on the phone. After which he took seven rounds with the bride at midnight. After this, the groom left with the bride. The bride’s side has heaved a sigh of relief after the marriage was completed. Kotwali in-charge Inspector Sanoj Pratap Singh said that after the people’s persuasion, the groom reached the mandap late at night. The marriage has been completed.
