Maihar: 6 people are reported dead and about 20 people injured in a fierce collision between a bus and a truck in Maihar, Madhya Pradesh. The accident took place near Nadan Dehat police station, about 25 km from the district headquarters. According to the police, at around 11 pm on Saturday night, a bus going from Prayagraj to Nagpur collided with a stone-laden dumper truck parked on the roadside.
According to Maihar SP Sudhir Aggarwal, the condition of about six people injured in the accident remains critical. They have been referred to Satna for better treatment. He also said that other injured are being treated in hospitals in Maihar and Amarpatan. As soon as the information about the accident was received, senior officials reached the spot and rescue operation was started.
