Agra: A 10-year-old girl was attacked by ferocious dogs on Thursday afternoon in the parking lot of Agra’s Sanjay Place. Tore the flesh from his leg. The bleeding girl was horrified by the attack. Hearing the noise, the people present around reached and saved the girl’s life.
Raju, a resident of Gihar Basti, has a tea shop in the Sanjay Place parking lot in front of Surasadan. Around 2 in the afternoon, his 10-year-old granddaughter, studying in class 2, came to give food to Baba. He also had a younger sister with him. Suddenly five-six dogs attacked the girl while passing through the market in front of the parking lot. Tore the flesh from the leg. Hearing the screams, people ran from the parking lot. Saved the girl’s life from the dogs. Raju told that there are some meat shops in the market. There is a pack of ferocious dogs sitting around. If any person passes through there, the dogs catch him. He told that four children and one person have been bitten by dogs here in the last seven days.

Raju told that in an injured condition, the girl was taken to the emergency for treatment. Where the wounds were bandaged. Nisar Ali, a 7-year-old daughter of Farin, a resident of Wazirpura, was injured by the dogs. Apart from this, the dogs also bitten Deva, the 12-year-old son of the glasses seller. Five incidents of dog bite have happened here in seven days.
Municipal corporation does not have arrangements
On one hand there is terror of dogs from busy market, monument, railway station to hospital and commercial places, on the other hand Municipal Corporation has no arrangement to prevent dog attacks. Municipal Corporation’s animal welfare officer Dr. Ajay Kumar says that dog bite incidents are not our responsibility. Dogs are sterilized on the basis of complaints received. There is a cart to catch the dogs. Every day 100 dogs are caught for sterilization.
Sterilization scheme running on contract
The Municipal Corporation is spending around Rs 1100 on sterilization of a dog. There are more than 60 thousand dogs in the city. More than Rs 1.50 crore has been spent on sterilization of 17 thousand dogs. The Municipal Corporation has given the dog sterilization scheme to three organizations on contract.
