In Dhamtari, three teachers, including a female teacher, have been suspended by the District Education Officer for being absent for a long time, coming to school drunk and misbehaving with students, and the salary of five teachers who were negligent in their work has been stopped. This action has created a stir in the education department. It is being said that this action has been taken to improve the level of education so that teachers do not neglect their studies.
In fact, education department officials are continuously conducting surprise inspections to directly observe the activities of teachers. Recently, the primary and secondary schools under Dhamtari block were inspected by the District Education Officer, BEO Dhamtari. During this time, it was found that show cause notices were issued to some teachers after receiving complaints like reaching school late, negligence in teaching work.
In such a situation, since the reply to the notice was not satisfactory, action has been taken to stop the salaries of five teachers. Along with this, after confirmation of the serious complaint, the District Education Officer has suspended two teachers and one female teacher from different schools with immediate effect.
