Bilaspur. A woman consumed poison as soon as she got off the train at Chakarbhatha railway station, but her life was saved due to the prompt action of Dial 112. The incident happened when a woman travelling in a train coming from Raipur consumed poison for unknown reasons and got off at Chakarbhatha railway station. The woman was in critical condition and was carrying a three-month-old innocent child in her hand. People present at the station immediately informed Dial 112.
On receiving the task, constable Dharmesh Baghel and driver Durgesh Sahu of Chakarbhatha-112 team reached the railway station within just eight minutes. The woman had consumed poison due to a family dispute and was in an unconscious state.
Understanding the seriousness of the situation, constable Dharmesh immediately picked up the child in his lap and with the help of people, took the woman to Bilaspur hospital in a 112 vehicle, where her life was saved. Superintendent of Police Rajnesh Singh has rewarded constable Dharmesh Baghel.
