Female officer arrested with boyfriend, fake kidnapping case

Sakti. Police has achieved a big success in the kidnapping case of a female CHO in the district. As soon as the complaint of kidnapping of the woman and ransom of Rs 15 lakh was received, within 4 hours the female CHO was recovered along with her male friend from Hotel Swarnabhoomi Devnandan Nagar in Sarkanda Bilaspur. Very shocking revelations have been made during the police interrogation and investigation. During the interrogation, the police came to know that the entire kidnapping story is false. The woman had hatched a conspiracy with her friend with a motive. Police told that female CHO Anupama Jaltare called her friend Mahendra Jangde from Korba to Sakti Chowpatty on June 27 and sent her younger brother Kaleshwar on the pretext of bringing cold water, when the brother returned, she was not there. After this, the woman put her phone in flight mode and left for Bilaspur sitting in Mahendra Jangde’s blue and white TVS Apache bike number CG 28 L 0149.

On the other hand, her brother and family were worried due to her sudden disappearance. Meanwhile, at 9:38 pm, Mahendra Jangde called the woman’s brother Degamber from Anupama’s phone and demanded Rs. 15 lakhs by 11 pm on 28 June. He threatened to kill Anupama and send her away in a sack if the demand was not met. Not only this, Anupama also spoke to her brother while crying on the phone. When the woman officer’s brother called her friend Mahendra, he also said that the kidnappers had called and demanded ransom.

The police found on the basis of electronic digital and manual evidence that Mahendra Jangde and Anupama Jaltare had planned that Anupama’s family would not be able to arrange Rs. 15 lakhs. Then after a day or two, the woman officer would go to her home with Mahendra Jangde and tell her family that Mahendra Jangde had paid money to the kidnappers and got her released. So that she could prove Mahendra to be a suitable boy for marriage in the eyes of the family. In this case, the police have taken action against Mahendra Jangde and the woman officer under Section 120 (B) and 384 for false kidnapping and have formally arrested both of them.
