Durg. After huge protests over the issue of throwing Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s photo in the garbage, the police have arrested the accused. An offense under sections 124 A, 295, 295 A was registered against the accused Chief Ticket Inspector VP Naidu. After registering the crime, the police arrested the accused on Wednesday night. After visiting the government hospital Supela at night itself, the police presented VP Naidu in the court on Thursday afternoon from where he got bail.
It is noteworthy that on April 16, in the Chief Ticket Inspector class of the railway station, VP Naidu had removed the photo of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar posted on the wall and kept it in the garbage. When the cleaning staff reached the room in the morning, they saw Dr. Ambedkar’s photo in the garbage near the table. He gave this information to the people of the society. Within no time a crowd of hundreds of people reached the spot and protested. For two consecutive days, people of the society staged a protest at the railway station to get justice.
Let us tell you that the police had imposed sections 124 A, 295, 295 A of sedition against the accused VP Naidu. Presented in the court of Special Judge Durg Sanjeev Kumar Tomak. Advocate Rajkumar Tiwari appeared on behalf of the accused, while Rajkumar Dewangan appeared on behalf of the government. The court heard the stand of about five people from the victim’s side.
There was no mention of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s photo being put in the dustbin anywhere in the complaint application, whereas no one saw the accused putting the photo under the table. The court said that if the matter related to SC ST court, why did the police not send it to AG police station. Now the police will present the challan and continue the investigation. Advocate Rajkumar Tiwari, appearing on behalf of VP Naidu, said that the objection of the victim’s side was also heard due to the imposition of SC ST Act in the case. Considering that she is a woman and considering her age, the court has granted her bail on a bond of Rs 25,000.
