Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi. A large number of people arrived at the district hospital on Saturday night with patients injured in a road accident. The patient’s family members and the accompanying crowd verbally abused and assaulted on-duty female doctors, staff, and security personnel. They are also accused of creating a ruckus in the emergency ward and shouting slogans against the hospital management. An FIR has been filed against four people in this case. However, the incident has created an atmosphere of fear among the female doctors.
According to reports, accident victims Durgesh Rajak, Ishwar, and Vivek, residents of Bharridand Marwahi, were admitted to the district hospital on Friday night. Durgesh Rajak was found lifeless, and the other two were heavily intoxicated.
Both were given first aid. The attendants accompanying these patients, Sunil Rajak, Manish Rajak, Santosh Rajak, and Pramod Rajak, were also intoxicated. They repeatedly insisted on the female doctors to see the patient. At this time, there were more than 90 patients in the hospital. Despite the female doctors stating that the patients’ conditions were stable, they began misbehaving. Now, frightened by this incident, the female doctors have refused to work. They have also demanded action against the accused at the Gaurela police station. SDOP Shyam Sidar, providing information on the matter, said that last night, the female doctors and staff were mistreated due to dissatisfaction with the treatment at the district hospital. Based on their complaint, an FIR is being filed against four people. An FIR has been registered in the matter.
