Pilibhit. Father and son died under suspicious circumstances in Puranpur Kotwali area. The family members have filed a complaint with the police, accusing the daughter-in-law and her maternal family of murdering her due to family feud. Police sent the bodies for post-mortem and took the daughter-in-law into custody.
Both the deceased are Kalika Prasad, resident of Tanda Chhatrapati village of Kotwali area, and his 24-year-old son Ramsaran. The family alleged that the daughter-in-law mixed poison in the food late at night, due to which father-in-law Kalika Prasad died.
It is alleged that Ramsaran was murdered by his in-laws when he reached his in-laws’ house. After this, the in-laws loaded Ramsaran’s body on an e-rickshaw and reached home on Saturday morning. On receiving information about the death of father and son, Additional Superintendent of Police Vikram Dahiya, CO Alok Singh, Kotwal Sanjeev Kumar Shukla reached the village with the police force.
Police officers gathered information regarding the incident. The family told that Ramsaran had come to Puranpur on Friday with his wife Gujrara Devi to get medicine for the child. There was a dispute between the two regarding some issue here. During this time, Ramsaran’s wife got down from the motorcycle and came to her in-laws’ house and the husband had gone to his wife’s maternal home. The family members have accused the daughter-in-law and her family of murder. At present, the police sent the dead bodies for post-mortem and started investigating the case.
