Farmers watched the live telecast of the program at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Raigarh

Raigarh. Raigarh. On 24 February, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 19th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana from Bhagalpur, Bihar. The program was broadcast live at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Agricultural Development and Farmers Welfare and Biotechnology Department, Raigarh. Where farmers watched the live telecast of the program. During this, progressive farmers and farmer women of Raigarh and Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district were present. The objective of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is to provide financial assistance to the farmers of India, so that their economic condition can improve and they get help in their farming. Under this scheme, eligible farmers are given an amount of 6,000 every year in three installments. This money is transferred directly to their bank accounts. Its basic objective is to help the farmer in their expenses, improve their yield, and give them economic improvement in their livelihood. This scheme was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2019 and its goal is to provide financial assistance to the farmers. Especially those who do not own land or who are small and medium farmers. In the program organized under the transfer of the 19th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, various agricultural activities and technical information were provided for the farmers. In particular, the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Raigarh introduced the farmers to the latest agricultural methods and advanced techniques by taking them on a tour of various exhibition units. In this, a detailed demonstration of mushroom production, dairy, poultry farming, earthworm compost, fish farming, and scientific cultivation of spice crops like coriander, turmeric and ginger was done. Dr. B.S. Rajput informed the farmers about these units, which gave them an opportunity to understand about new and advanced methods of farming. In the program, the farmers appreciated these demonstrations and called it beneficial. Such programs make farmers aware of modern agricultural techniques, so that they can increase their production capacity and do farming in a profitable manner. The chief guest of the program Pradeep Kumar Shringi, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Raigarh, in his address called upon the farmers to take maximum benefit of the national agricultural schemes and contribute in making India a developed nation. Subhash Soni, Assistant Director, Department of Agriculture and Biotechnology, Raigarh, told about the departmental scheme and advised to adopt new techniques of agriculture. On this occasion, scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dr. Manisha Chaudhary, Dr. K.K. Paikra, Dr. K.D. Mahant, Dr. C.P.S. Solanki, Dr. K.L. Patel, Ashutosh Singh and Rural Agriculture Extension Officer etc. were present.
