Konaraopet: A farmer committed suicide by hanging himself after suffering from illness in the Konaraopet mandal center of Rajanna Siricilla district on Saturday.
According to the police and family members, Pani Babu (53) from the village is a farmer and has been suffering from chronic illness and nerve weakness for the past four years.
Police said that Babu, who was depressed and unable to bear the pain, committed suicide by hanging himself in the cattle shed in front of his house in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The deceased is survived by his wife Vasantha and two sons Prashanth and Praveen. The police, after learning about the incident, reached the spot and registered a case based on the complaint filed by the victim’s family members and are investigating.
